1951 Cadillac Series 62 for sale in Kentwood, Michigan

$74,900

Offered here is an incredible opportunity to own a timeless piece of American automotive history. This beautiful 1951 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible is truly a work of art. It was the second largest Cadillac being built (Series 75 Fleetwood was bigger) at that time with a 126-inch wheel base and almost 19-feet long, which was quite impressive for a convertible. Cadillac was keen on attention to detail in these years and this example is no exception. Power is provided by Cadillac€™s quiet 331 OHV V8 engine mated to a 4-Speed Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission. Fuel is fed through a 2-barrel carburetor and kicked out dual exhausts. The engine produces 160hp at 3800rpm, giving this grand Cadillac enough power to propel to 60mph in 17.5 seconds. Luxury was key in these big boats; therefore, the car features power windows, power convertible top, power steering, power brakes, windshield washers, fog lamps, AM radio, heat, and ventilation system. The interior is treated with gorgeous chrome accents on the dash and the large, comfortable bench seats remain in excellent condition. This is over 60 years old but you couldn€™t tell by looking at it. It remains a fine example and has been preserved incredibly well. It was purchased from California in 1979 and has no rust. It is an excellent unadulterated example and comes with many receipts dating back to the €™79 purchase. These cars are collection pieces and highly sought after by enthusiasts. Again, this is a great investment opportunity as these cars continue to appreciate. Concours examples can bring $135K today. See more at /details.php?id=849
